COVID-19 POLICIES & PROCEDURES

ALL RESORT GUESTS MUST MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING OF 2 METERS AT ALL TIMES AND FOLLOW ALL PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS AS SET OUT BY THE PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICER.

NOTICE

At Trickle Creek Lodge and Polaris Lodge we are committed to providing a safe environment for both our guests and team members. We have redefined our cleaning and safety standards as well as our staff education and training to align with the recommendations and guidelines provided by the Government of BC, BC Ministry of Health, Interior Heath, and BC Center for Disease Control.

By booking and visiting Polaris Lodge, you agree that you have read, understand and will adhere to the policies & procedures outlined below. Any guest that is found to be in contravention of these policies & procedures will be asked to leave the property and may be treated with disciplinary action. No refunds will be provided.

We thank you in advance for doing your part to help stop the spread of COVID-19.  Please stay safe and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

FOR THE SAFETY OF RESORT GUESTS AND OUR STAFF PLEASE DO NOT VISIT IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY:

  • If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, sore throat, cough, difficulty breathing)
  • Live in a household with someone with COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19 or who is self isolating due to possible exposure to COVID-19
  • If you have travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks or been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks.

GUEST HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Face Masks are recommended inside all of our buildings. Please bring your own face mask. If you do not have a face mask, we will distribute one for you to wear.
  • Enhanced cleaning measures and increased frequency of cleaning.
  • Reduced guest contact with hotel staff.
  • Engineering controls in common areas and at the front desk.
  • Hand sanitizing stations available in common areas of the hotel including, front and rear entrances, as well as in each elevator.
  • Signage in public spaces and in the elevator reminding guests to maintain social distancing and practice proper hand hygiene.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

  • Face Masks are recommended inside all of our buildings. Please bring your own face mask. If you do not have a face mask, we will distribute one for you to wear.
  • Hotel personnel follow strict guidelines including wearing masks and gloves. 
  • Hand sanitizer is provided to guests and employees in public areas.  
  • Unnecessary items have been removed from guest rooms, such as decorative pillows, additional bedding, notepads and pens.
  • For guest and employee safety and well-being, daily housekeeping service will not be available however our team will be more than happy to assist you with any requests you may have during your stay.

FRONT DESK & LOBBY

  • Advanced protocols will minimize guest contact with hotel personnel through our streamlined check-in and check-out processes.
  • Person-to-person contact is the primary way COVID-19 is spread. To help alleviate the risk of transmission, the Trickle Creek Lodge has prominently posted signage in the lobby to remind guests to maintain social distancing protocols.
  • All lobby brochures, magazines and papers have been removed and we have re-arranged lobby furniture to allow more space for distancing. The addition of partitions at front desks will provide an extra level of precaution for our guests and employees.
  • Enhanced sanitization procedures are in place at the front desk, in the lobby and throughout the hotel with disinfecting taking place regularly especially on the high guest touch points.
  • Sanitizing stations are available throughout hotels.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT

  • Check-in time is after 5pm, if arriving outside of this time please contact the hotel at 1-877-282-1200. 
  • For the safety of our employees and other guests please be advised that you will be required to answer a few questions regarding your well-being when you arrive at the hotel. 
  • Checkout time is 10am. When checking out, we ask that you leave your keys in your suite and if you require a receipt one will be e-mailed to you.

GUEST ROOM & HOUSEKEEPING

  • Enhanced cleaning protocols have been implemented in our guest rooms.
  • Guest rooms will not be entered for 3 hours after check-out, at which time the room, linens and all touch points, for example but not limited to: faucets, door handles, light switches, thermostats, TV remotes, tables, chairs, phones, all surfaces in our kitchens and hangers will be cleaned with disinfecting chemicals.

Maintenance

  • Any maintenance issues that may arise during your stay that require immediate attention will be looked after by our experienced maintenance employees once you have vacated your suite for the day.

COMMON AREA AMENITIES

  • When allowed to open, our meeting rooms will be cleaned before and after every function with disinfecting chemicals.
  • The fitness center located at the Trickle Creek Lodge is open for guest use with reduced capacity and all equipment is disinfected after every use.  Advanced bookings are required.
  • The hotel pool and hot tubs will be in operation with adjusted load capacities and seating will be spaced at 6 feet apart. 
  • Every morning, throughout the day and evening, these areas will be sanitized with the use of electrostatic machine.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided for guests and employees in all public areas.

HOTEL EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTS

  • Hotel employees follow strict guidelines, including utilizing Personal Protective Equipment, frequent and stringent hand-washing protocols, and housekeepers/laundry staff will wear both gloves and a mask.
  • Employee workstations will be cleaned and disinfected after every shift.
  • Employees will be empowered to stay home if unwell, communicate their potential exposure to COVID-19 with management, and will be fully educated on how to maintain a safe and clean home.
